It was during the 2014IMM, in Kent, that Irish Mini Owners Club won the bid to host the 2017 IMM - 20 years after their last, in Bandon, in 1997.1 had taken part in IMOC's brilliant Mizen to Malin event in 2009, driving from one end of the island to the other in one day but, this time, I was looking forward to enjoying it at a more sedate pace. I had been to Belfast a couple of times and enjoyed a few weekends in Dublin but was keen to see more of the Irish countryside.
