The board governing the cooperative that handles trash for Concord, Laconia, Franklin and 24 surrounding New Hampshire towns has approved moving forward with a plan to build a recycling facility, reported The Concord Monitor. The $ 11 million plant would be built in Concord or Franklin and would use "single-stream" technology, which means all recyclables would be put in the same bin and then sorted on conveyors belts at the facility.
