The VinylCyclc system is set up to separate polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from a mixed stream of whole of crushed plastic bottles of HOPE, PET and PVC. The machine is designed for high-speed unattended continous duty at throughput rates of up to 10 bottles per second or approximately 4,500 pounds per hour depending on composition of the feed stream, said the manufacturer. The benefits of the system include low operating costs, an alternative to manual separation, high-volume processing capacity, and a consistent purity of recycled resins, the supplier added.
