Sustainability Is Paper Week Focus

"Sustaining the Industry, Paper Week 2009 is the theme of this year's Paper Week. Sponsored by the American Forest & Paper Association, the paper industry's annual event will be held at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel and Towers in New York City, March 22-24. Paper Week will feature five sessions and a dozen expert speakers covering topics such as sustainability, recycling, climate change, and the new Congress and Administration.rnThese topics include:rn1. Environmental Intelligence-Experts in environmental intelligence will tell you what to expect from environmental campaign organizations in 2009. Session is for AF&PA members only and requires pre-registration.rn2. Sustainability: Moving from Concept to Practice-AF&PA Board Chairman and Rayonier Chairman, President and CEO Lee Thomas will moderate a panel that reviews case studies of how sustainability impacts shareholder value, competitiveness, and the supply chain.
