U.S. Scrap Paper Consumption Rose 4 Percent In July

Total U.S. industry consumption of recovered paper was 2.7 million tons in July, an increase from June of 4 percent, according to the American Forest & Paper Association's July 2010 Recovered Paper Monthly Report. July's consumption was 9 percent higher than in the same month last year. The U.S. consumed 8 percent more recovered paper in the first 7 months of 2010 than during the same period last year, the Association added.
