Smaller businesses lag behind on carbon action

Britain's SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) have a good understanding of key climate change terms such as carbon footprint, carbon neutral and carbon offsetting - but only around one in six (17%) has so far assessed its own carbon footprint. These were among the findings of the SME Climate Change Survey, an independent research study commissioned by the Recycling and Waste Management exhibition (RWM 07) at the NEC, Birmingham last month.
