Dairies study complex OFT findings

Provisional findings by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) that certain large supermarkets and dairy processors had colluded to increase the prices of dairy products during 2002 and 2003 were being carefully studied by UK dairies, as Milk Industry went to press. Dairy UK director general Jim Begg said: "The dairies will be responding to the findings individually, but the OFT has made it clear it cannot decide the law has been broken until it has received representations from the parties involved.
