Dairy Crest has been commended in this year's Carbon Disclosure Project report, making it the first UK dairy company to be named in the prestigious Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index. Compiled by PriceWaterHouse-Coopers, the Index awarded Dairy Crest a score of 79%. The result means that Dairy Crest is ranked as the fourth best company in the Consumer Staples category, behind FTSE 100 companies Reckitt Benckiser, Tesco and Unilever. Dairy Crest's appearance in the list follows the publication of its in-depth corporate responsibility report, which makes public its long and short-term corporate responsibility targets.
