Measuring environmental sustainability

Despite ambiguity about how to measure sustainability, it is clear that the UK dairy industry has made huge leaps forward, as Fergus McReynolds explains. In 2010, the coalition set out its programme for Government and committed to protecting the environment for future generations, making the economy more environmentally sustainable, and improving the quality of life and well-being of everyone in the UK.
