MTU Aero Engines - Partner of the Luftwaffe

Despite the global financial crisis, MTU Aero Engines closed 2009 with very good results. Turnover was €2.6 billion (+4% over 2008) and operational results €292 million (+12%), even though net profits declined from €180 to €140 million. The first months of 2010 show a similar trend.rnMTU Aero Engines is currently involved in programmes for all thrust classes of jet engines for commercial aircraft. Particularly noteworthy are the V2500 engine for the A320 series, the CF6 for the larger Airbus and Boeing aircraft, and of course the GP7000 that power the world's largest passenger aircraft, the A380.
