Something Has Changed

Concluding my few thoughts ahead of the incoming "22nd International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO)," taking place in September 2014 in Kielce. The exhibition, that always presented a good mixture of leading technologies with a classical military hardware. Something has changed, and we have to adapt to it. The leading motto was aptly expressed by Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Poland, in October 2013 at the inauguration of the academic year in the National Defence University, when he said "The strong one is easier to defend" (by the others). This year, while visiting MSPO, my approach will be different than during the last years. Changing security circumstances underline necessity of having a balanced spectrum of capabilities. We should look at these - too early named - "old relics" with a new interest.
