The Royal Swedish Army consists of three army brigade commands, each with an armored mechanized regiment: the Southern Skane Brigade based in Revingehed, the Skaraborg Brigade based in Skovde, and the Norrbotten Brigade based in Boden. During peacetime, the brigades act as bases rather than operational units, with the ability to expand to full strength during a crisis. The Army's operational units include the three armored mechanized regiments assigned to brigade command, a Land Warfare Center, an infantry regiment (Life Guard based in Stockholm), a cavalry regiment (K3 Life Regiment Hussars) based in Karlsborg, an artillery regiment based in Boden, an engineer regiment based in Eskjoe, and an antiaircraft artillery regiment based in Halmstad.
