Forecast International projects that manufacturers will produce 1,436 fixed-wing military trainers of all types from 2014 through 2023. The value of this production is forecast to total $18.9 billion. Production of military trainers is projected to total 211 aircraft in 2014 and grow to 223 aircraft in 2015. After that production will drop sharply in following years, eventually falling to 110 aircraft in 2020. Annual production will run at just over 100 aircraft from 2021 through 2023. The forecast projects production of 821 jet trainers worth $12.7 billion during the forecast period. The value of this production will account for 67 percent of the value of the market overall. Manufacturers are forecast to produce 615 turboprop trainers with a value of production of $6.2 billion during the decade.
