Army wants armored combat vehicle to demonstrate unmanned technologies

The article reports that a request for prototype proposal (RPP) has been issued by the U.S. Army for developing tracked unmanned combat vehicles called the Combat Vehicle Robotics (CoVeR) program. Topics discussed include efforts of the agencies Army Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS), and enabling future soldiers to manage unmanned vehicles for reconnaissance and combat.
