New operations: on a fast track to development

Within just a couple of years, following almost two decades of chaos, Lebanon managed to leap forward, thanks to the strong will and desire of its government to bring Lebanon back to its traditional role as a business hub in the region. Decisive measures were therefore adopted to build the backbone of the country's economy in renovating its telecommunications infrastructure. From a whirl of inextricable difficulties, the Lebanese Ministry of Post & Telecommunications (MPT), along with the support of foreign consultants, directed the preparation of public bids to renovate both the fixed and mobile networks.
