Conexant Names Co-Presidents

Christian Scherp and Sailesh Chittipeddi will share responsibilities as Co-Presidents for Conexant Systems, Inc. when the transaction to sell the BroadbandrnAccess business to Ikanos Communications, Inc. is completed in the fourth fiscal quarter. Most recently, Scherp served as Conexant President while Chittipeddi was Executive Vice President of Global Operations as well as Chief Technical Officer. Scherp and Chittipeddi will continue to report to Scott Mercer, Conexant Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Scherp will have responsibility for worldwide sales, marketing, and program management while Chittipeddi will manage the global engineering, operations, quality, IT, and associated infrastructure-support activities.
