摘要

Attempts to neutralise basic fibroblast growth factor (BFGF) have met some success in blocking neovascularisation. The authors describe annoral protein vaccine based on human BFGF encapsulated poly(1-caprolactone)–poly(ethylene glycol)–poly(1-caprolactone) (PCEC) nanopar-nticles. The human BFGF encapsulated PCEC nanoparticles (BFGF/PCEC) were monodisperse with the mean diameter of 142 nm and cannslow-released BFGF in vitro. After mice were orally immunised with four dosages of BFGF/PCEC nanoparticles, BFGF-specific autoantibodyntiter in sera was 1600. Furthermore, alginate-encapsulated tumour cell assay implied that oral immunisation with BFGF/PCEC efficiently inhib-nited angiogenesis in vivo. Thus, oral immunisation with BFGF/PCEC nanoparticles may be a novel strategy to suppress angiogenesis, and thisnvaccine may have promising application in cancer immunotherapy.
