Glass walls are receiving dynamic makeovers in time for their elevated roles as safety screens in post-pandemic interiors. Patchwork, for example, is Italian architect Piero Lissoni's exuberant update of Glas Italia's wall system Sherazade, which he originally designed in 2016. Its door panels feature infills that mix rectangular and square panes of tempered and laminate glass, which come clear or colored. The system's new look "was partially inspired by Dutch painter Piet Mondrian's compositions and his use of primary colors," he says. Available in sliding-, revolving-, and pocket-door versions, units can be installed fixed or along a rail in the ceiling.
