China 2010 gold to exceed 340 mt

China’s gold nproduction for 2010 is expected to exceed 340 mt, compared nwith 313.98 mt in 2009, the Ministry of Industry and Information nTechnology said in a statement late the previous week. The ncountry produced 308.390 mt of gold over January-November n2010, up about 9.16% or 25.885 mt from the same period in n2009, according to the report. Of the January-November output, n254.036 mt came from gold mining companies, up 8.49% year non year, while the remaining 54.354 mt came from nonferrous nmetal operations, up 12.40%.
