By developing new technologies and applying key existing technologies Ford has implemented a syn-ergistic system of technologies into automotive paint booths to improve the stability of the painting environment. The systems implemented were designed to improve and stabilize the airflow in the paint booth (Fig. 12). These improvements have been successfully linked to improvements and/or reductions in material and energy costs, first run, and quality. These systems also have a positive impact on the environment.
