The quality, durability, and service life of finished parts are directly related to the effectiveness of the initial surface preparation conditioning. This include cleaning, rinsing, and activation. Metal-finishing processing cycles generally begin with these steps. Without a doubt, the first step is the most important one. If the surface-preparation portion of the cycle is not correct the application of any plated deposit may results in blisters, hazing, pitting, or poor adhesion.
