摘要

A review of the Faradayic Process, as well as electrochemical finishing of small part components, is presented in this article. The Faradayic Process is used in research and development of advanced electrochemical technologies for edge and surface finishing of difficult-to-machine metallic and alloy materials, prominent in the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries. For example, stainless steel (SS), titanium (Ti), copper (Cu) and nickel-based (Ni) alloys, in the presence of water-based, neutral salt electrolytes, unlike other finishing processes that work with highly acidic and toxic fluids. The intent of this article is to present the advanced Faradayic Process technology as a potential application for small part components finishing for electronics, such as conductor lines and bond pads, on large printed circuit boards (PCBs).
