Steel and the restoration project: Andrea Bruno- 1979-1995. Restoration and rehabilitation of Rivoli Castle, Rivoli (Turin)

After an introduction on the use of steel in architecture, and in resto- ration above all, here we see an interesting example of the usefull- ness of steel in the restoration of historic buildings. An unfinished 17~th century castle, designed by architect Juvarra as The residence of the Savoia family, forms the face of a 16th century Building that was demolished to build the castle. Andrea Bruno has worked in full respect of the authenticity of this Physical testimony to the past, at the same time using techniques and Building materials that are clearly of a contemporary nature.
