Tongling settles H1 copper TC/RCs with BHP up 55%

Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group has agreed to coppertreatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) with BHP Billiton at$72 pertonne/7.2 cents per Ib for the first half. The Chinese smelter said last week that it had achieved a 54.8% increase in TC/RCs compared to 2010's in $46.5/4.65. Tongling Nonferrous will import 40,000 dmtu of copper concentrate in the first half this year, compared with 46,000 dmtu in the corresponding period last year.
