The new electronic double needle bed warp knitting machine DNB/EL-1270 (Fig. 1) by Comez SpA, Cilavegna/Italy, was developed for the production of an extremely wide range of articles, such as articles for:rn1. technical uses (netting for sports equipment and the food industry, high resistance ribbons in special fibers, ribbons and fabrics for applications in the geo-textile, automotive, building and industrial sectors),rn2. medical uses (tubular elastic netting, emergency bandages and dressings, disposable underwear),rn3. women's apparel (mesh stockings and pantyhose) and fashion fabrics (Fig. 2).
