Recommendations for successful continuous finishing of PA/EL tapes

Fashionable underwear incjuding bras is mainly made from polyamide/elastane blends. Microfiber articles with a high elastane share are gaining more and more importance in the textile market on account of their exceptionally high functionality and multi-purpose wear properties. Fabrics from such blends combine a high comfort in wear with a fashionable design, however they are a challenge for the textile finisher. Particularly with regard to lingerie it must be ensured that the depth of the shade, the fastness property and anti-yellowing levels of the basic fabric comply with those of the corresponding tapes. This article presents solutions to a successful continuous finishing of the tapes.
