Global yarn and fabric output increase in Q2

Global yarn production increased in Q2/2016 by 8.5 % quarter-on-quarter. Thereby, output in Asia rose by nearly 9%, in South America by almost 12 % and in Europe by a moderate 0.3%. On an annual basis, global yarn production in Q2/2016 fell versus Q2/2015. In Asia, yarn output fell moderately by 0.1 %, whereas in North America there was a strong decrease of over 12% annually. However, European and South American yarn output increased by 2 % and 3 % respectively compared to 2015.
