Easy to iron 100% viscose woven fabric

Easy to iron i.e. wrinkle-free finishing is a widely used functional finishing process to produce wrinkle-resistant cellulosic fabrics at the expense of tearing strength of fabrics. In this research, orthogonal experiments were carried out considering full factors to invent the easy to iron 100% Birla cellulosic viscose fabric. Various conventional wrinkle-free recipes were examined based on their conditions to retard the formation of hydrocellulose from viscose. Durable press i.e. DP rating and fabric tearing strength were tested before and after chemical treatment. By full factors experiment, it was found that by optimizing the finishing recipe and process conditions, it is operated successfully having best durable press performance rating i.e. > 3 with very good hand feel without affecting the fabric strength. It is found out that after resin treatment in optimum condition, it could effectively improve the DP rating and at the same time with the minimum loss of tearing strength of fabric.
