En Octobre 1995, la Faculté de médecine à Genève a mis en route un nouveau programme d'études de médecine avec une volée de 30 étudiants. Le but de cet article est de décrire les éléments novateurs du programme, spécifiquement des 2e et 3e années, et de tirer les conclusions de la première année de son fonctionnement. Le bilan positif du déroulement de la 2e année et l'état d'avancement de la planification du programme des 4e et 5e années ont permis à la Faculté d'accueillir, en octobre 1996, une deuxième volée de 45 étudiants dans le nouveau programme.%In October 1995, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva has implemented its new medical curriculum with a group of 30 students. The purpose of this paper is to describe the innovative learning components of the new program, specifically of the second and third years, and to present the preliminary results of its first-year implementation. The positive evaluation of the program as well as the steady progress in the development of the fourth and fifth year curriculum have allowed the Faculty to admit, in October 1996, a second group of 45 medical students into its new program.
