摘要

Wendy Moore's Endell Street is a remarkable book about remarkable women working in a remarkable hospital. The hospital was established by two women who were very close friends, Flora Murray and Louisa Garret Anderson (daughter of the first female doctor in the UK). They set it up after the first half year of World War One, near the battlefields in France, having first learned the military surgeon's job and the responsibilities that go with it.
