In summary, evidence indicates that sanctions against Iran are impacting national health standards as a result of rising medication prices and diminishing stocks. On paper the sanctions against Iran may be considered targeted, however in practice they have presented irrefutably differently and are likely harming the health of the Iranian children. Determining the exact magnitude of impact will be difficult to estimate until more evidence comes to light through official governmental reports and thorough studies.Thus, it is time for states involved to take a stance against sanctions and ensure greater accountability in both their application and formal analysis of their effects. Given the complex nature of the politics surrounding sanctions, it is essential for countries to take a technical standpoint at the very least to overcome potentially devastating consequences. Ultimately, action must be taken by political leaders and states to reduce the destructive impacts of sanctions before the case of Iraq is repeated once more.
