The foundation of this partnership is PurThread's silver-embedded yarn, which was recently shown in a study by the University of Arizona to kill 99.9% of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE), vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE), Propionibacterium acnes, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and other harmful bacteria and fungi on its surface within two hours of contact.
