Prosthetic liners are used as an intermediate layer between a residual limb (amputation stump) and a prosthesis shaft on which the artificial limb is arranged. Particularly with leg prostheses, it is important for both wear comfort and safety to establish a firm connection between the amputation stump and the prosthesis liner located above it and the prosthesis socket to avoid pressure points, painful wounds or chafing of any of these components on the wearer’s skin.
