TRICHOBEZOARD

Trichobezoar is defined as the presence of a foreign body in the stomach. This body is formed by a hair mass. The authors report 3 cases of tricho-bezoar in which the diagnosis was late with a delay of 3 years or. average. If concerns 2 boys and 1 girl, 6, 7 and 10 years old. The clinical aspects were dominated by the presence of an epigastrium volume and an occlusion. The barium meal, ultrasonography and endoscopy allowed the diagnosis. The therapy consisted of the struggle against malnutrition and the extraction of the foreign body. The psychotherapy is essential to avoid the recidivation. It was the case of one of our patients who recurred and was operated after 3 years. The final evolution was successful in all cases. The aim of our work is to insist on the interest of early diagnosis and follow up of those children.%Le trichobézoard est la présence d''un corps étranger dans l''estomac, formé par un amas de poils. Les auteurs rapportent trois cas de trichobézoard dont le diagnostic a été posé tardivement, avec un délai moyen de 3 ans. Il s''agit de 2 garçons et une fille, âgés de 6,7 et 10 ans. Les aspects cliniques ont été dominés par la présence d''une masse épigastrique et d''un syndrome occlusif. Le transit œso-gastro-duodé-nal et l''échographie ont permis de poser le diagnostic. La fibroscopie a été l''élément clé du diagnostic. Le traitement a consisté en la lutte contre la dénutrition et l''extraction du corps étranger. La prise en charge psychiatrique est nécessaire pour éviter la récidive. C''était le cas d''un de nos patients qui a récidivé et a été réopéré au bout de 3 ans. L''évolution finale a été satisfaisante dans tous les cas. Le but de notre travail est d''insister sur l''intérêt du diagnostic précoce et de la surveillance de ces malades.
