Canada denounces E.U.'s support of subsidies for pork

Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, said on Dec. 12 that he is disappointed in the European Union's decision to resume the use of export subsidies for certain pork products. The new subsidies came into effect Nov. 30.
