Pilgrim's Pride goes local in Florida

Pilgrim's Pride Corp. has introduced "Fresh from Florida" in the state of Florida, a branded line of chicken that capitalizes on consumer demand for products that are produced locally. All of the chicken included in the program are raised in Florida and processed at the company's plant in LivernOak, which was purchased by Pilgrim's Pride as part of its 2007 acquisition of Gold Kist Farms.
