Analyzing antibiotics

To hear the anti-meat crowd tell it, the effectiveness of antibiotics in humans has been dropping, thanks to a rising trend toward resistance to these drugs by people. They blame food animals for this antibiotic resistance, specifically what they call "non-therapeutic use" of antibiotics in food animals that are consumed by people. The major reason for non-therapeutic use of antibiotics, they claim, has been promotion of growth in food animals.
