Linear Equating for the Neat Design: A Rejoinder and Some Further Comments

The commentaries have greatly enriched what we had to say, and we thank the authors for their time and insights. They put our results into a larger framework of equating, and in doing so raised a number of issues that we probably should have addressed, or at least acknowledged. Some of the issues we recognized (e.g., the requirements for a scaling to be an equating, which were outlined by Dorans and Maris et al., and the need for construct invari-ance outlined by Raykov), but we were focused on our own set of issues and we did not think of including them.
