DFMR (Design for Minimum resource through Simple Assembly & Disassembly) has been developed as a tool to support the design of highly recyclable products. New products must satisfy both assemblability (quality, cost and delivery) and disassemblability (production with less material, less energy and retaining material value). The DFMR evaluates products quantitatively from the view point of "assembly, disassembly and recycling", to realize environment-friendly and recyclable products through simplification of the design.
