摘要

A major problem of the building sector is the limited durability of reinforced concrete structures under highly aggressive environments due to the corrosion of the reinforcements. In order to evaluate the feasibility of low alloy steel as corrosion resistant reinforcement in concrete, the corrosion behaviour of traditional carbon steel in simulated concrete pore solution with incremental chloride doses is compared with the corrosion behaviour of two low alloy steels. The steel with 0.82% Cr exhibited corrosion resistant performance compared with traditional carbon steel. More Cr and Ni could promote the corrosion resistance further.
