Interaction modal of polyurethane compositesreinforced by the nano-attapulgite

The thermal-plastic polyurethane composites reinforced with nano-attapulgite prepared by simplesolution blending. The interaction between the nano-AT and polyurethane was characterised byDynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA). Measurement in DMA showed that attapulgite increasethe adhesive force between molecular chains and limit the motion of the polyurethane molecularchains, and attapulgite can be regarded as physical joint between polyurethane molecularchains. The results of mechanical property of the polyurethane composites also demonstratedthe attapulgite dramatically improved the tensile strength, which indicated that the attapulgiteincreased the interaction between the molecular chains of polyurethane.
