摘要

The phase relations for the uranium-titanium-germanium system were de- termined from 25 samples by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and quantitative electron probe microanalysis. Two ternary compounds were discovered: f U_2Ti_3Ge_4, which crystallizes with the U_2Mo_3Si_4 structure type (monoclinic, P2l/c, a = 7. l6l(9), b = 7. l36(6), c = 7.039(6) A, B = l09.9(l)), and U_3TiGe_5, which crystallizes with the U_3TiSb_5 structure type (hexagonal, P63/mcm, a = 8.4955(4), c = 5.7l l(l) A). The zirconium-containing compound U_2Zr_3Ge_4 was also identified, with the monoclinic structure type (a = 7.339(7), b = 7.3l7(5), c = 7.l23(4) A, P = l09.8(l )). Magnetic measurements performed on polycrystalline samples showed magnetic order tbr all of these ternary phases at low temperature.
