摘要

In the present work, morph-genetic TiC/C ceramic with a woodlike structure was produced from wood template through impregnating with tetrabutyl titanate and sintering at high temperature. The pyrolytic decomposition of impregnant in the fabrication process was studied by TGA-DTA, and identified by X-ray diffractometer (XRD). The microstructure and the pore-size distribution of resulting morph-genetic TiC/C ceramics were also investigated. The results indicate that the tetrabutyl titanate was firstly decomposed to anatase TiO_2, and then reacted with carbon in the cellular wall to form TiC after phase transition at high temperature. The resulting morph-genetic TiC/C ceramic retained well the structure of the original morphology of wood.
