Grain refining performance of Al-Ti master alloys with different microstructures

摘要

Grain refinement tests for Al-Ti master alloys showed hereditary effect of the initial ingot grain size. Microstructures of master alloys had a great influence on their grain refining response. The difference in grain refinement effectiveness between different structures of master alloys was revealed only with an increase in the holding time.
