摘要

Effect of a high magnetic field on the Al-Al_2Cu eutectic growth has been investigated. It has been found that the application of the magnetic field has aligned the eutectic grains with the <001>-crystal direction of the Al_2Cu phase along the magnetic field. Moreover, it has been proved experimentally that the Al_2Cu crystal owns the remarkable magnetocrystalline anisotropy. Therefore, the alignment of the Al-Al_2Cu eutectic under the magnetic field may be attributed to the orientation of the Al_2Cu crystal.
