摘要

A new nanocomposite modified bentonite (POSS-SDS-B) was prepared in an aqueous solution using Na+-bentonite as the raw material. The modifiers were polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The adsorption effect of POSS-SDS-B on methylene blue was also studied. The POSS-SDS-B was characterized by XRD, SEM, TGA and DSC. The results showed that the layer spacing and thermal stability of the nanocomposite POSS-SDS-B were greater than those of the bentonite. The maximum adsorption capacity for methylene blue is 312.51 mg.g(-1) at 25 degrees C and at a natural pH value. POSS-SDS-B can be used as a cost-effective adsorbent to remove contaminants from wastewater. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
