Vibrational Study of Methionine Molecule

摘要

Methionine is one of the essential amino acids which are useful in growth of mammals. We have recorded the IR and Raman spectra of the molecule in the range of 4000-400 cm~(-1). We have also monitored the electronic absorption spectra of the same molecule under the range of 400-200 nm. The observed peaks are assigned.
