Lithium-Ion battery gets 12V sister

Electrical specialist Mastervolthas launched a 12 volt Lithium-Ion marine battery, packaging the lightweight cells into the same case as its popular 24 volt sister. The new battery has been in development for some time as part of Mastervolt's ongoing research within the EU's HYMAR (Hybrid Marine) initiative. Lithium-Ion technology has long been the material of choice for portable electronic items due to its light weight (a third that of water) combined with long life, no memory effect and deep cycle capabilities.
