Planning consent for four Scottish windfarms

The scottish government has awarded planning consent for four offshore wind projects with a potential total capacity of 2.28GW. The Firth of Forth Zone is one of UK's Round 3 development zones and is being developed by Seagreen Wind Energy Ltd, a joint venture between SSE and Fluor. Overall, the zone (around 25km east of Fife) has a potential capacity of 3.5GW and planning consent has now been granted for Projects Alpha and Bravo, Phase 1 of the zone. The two windfarms will see up to 150 turbines with a potential capacity of 1,050MW.
