Fugro expands integrated services

Fugro, the dutch survey conglomerate with 13,500 employees in over 70 countries, is to extend its integrated hydrographic, geophysical and satellite imaging capabilities under a teaming agreement with EOMAP of Munich, Germany, which claims to be the world leader for provision of aquatic remote sensing services. Both companies indicate it will enable the creation of integrated bathymetric survey products comprising elements from Satellite-Derived Bathymetry (SDB), Airborne Lidar Bathymetry (ALB) and traditional acoustic survey technologies. Matthew Bergin, EOMAP's Vice-President of Business Development in Germany, says the agreement will create a unique one-stop technology resource to meet the demanding requirements of commercial and government customers alike. It will also help coastal zone management and engineering teams, environmental scientists and hydrographic agencies to focus on their immediate needs and to make informed decisions on subsequent efficient data acquisition and management.
